As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site may make any changes to their information at anytime by logging into their control panel and going to the 'Edit Profile' page.

Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.

Log Files

slowfruit.net is located in the United States and is subject to its laws.

slowfruit.net does log connections from the following services: apache2, squid3, and ssh. We only keep IP logs if necessary for security. These logs are kept for an indefinite time (for now.)

Although, slowfruit.net keeps limited logs, all users consent to real-time interception pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 2511(2)(d) while using slowfruit.net.

Our upstream providers are sshVM and DigitalOcean and might also log connections. We also use Google Analytics and other third party service providers.

apache2

Specifically, slowfruit.net's http server collects information from all http and https connections to slowfruit.net. Here's a sample line from our apache2 logfile:

As you can see we do not collect IP addresses of users connecting via http.

squid3

Slowfruit.net makes use of squid-cache. Here's a sample line from our squid3 logfile:

1386223187.908 0 127.0.0.1 TCP_MEM_HIT/200 ...

As you can see IP addresses of users are not collected. Infact they're actually anonymized.

ssh

We do log SSH login attempts. If you connect to this server via SSH your IP address will be logged. Here are some sample lines from auth.log:

IP addresses with too many failed login attempts (via SSH) will be banned.

All commands that you run while connected via SSH are logged and stored in ~/.bash_history and the history command. Other programs that you run might also keep logs (consult documentation.)

Third party service providers

slowfruit.net does use Google Analytics which might log IP addresses. We do not have access to IP logs kept by Google or any other third party service providers.

This privacy policy will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, United States and any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Illinois, United States.

slowfruit.net possess "common authority" (as described by United States v. Matlock, 415 U.S. 164 (1974)) over this server and will comply with law enforcement if a legitimate search order is served.

When legally possible slowfruit.net will alert users beforehand of any intended disclosure to a third party.
